What I don&#039;t understand is why they feel the need to tell people and cling so tightly to that one 16th of their heritage.  YOU ARE AMERICAN!  Just because your Grandmother&#039;s, cousin&#039;s, uncle&#039;s, sister&#039;s neighbour was Irish, it doesn&#039;t make you Irish.</description>
